Frequently asked questions.
Q: How do I add my reminders to my watch face?
A: Widgetminder™ works by displaying your Apple® Reminders in the Widgetminder app and associated complications and widgets. To view these on your Apple Watch® face, select a watch face that includes the rectangular complication. Long press the watch face then tap “Edit”. Swipe left or right until the complication edit view shows. Tap the rectangular complication and scroll down until you see Widgetminder. Tap the app and select one of the many views to display your reminders.
Q: I have reminders in Reminders, but they are not showing in Widgetminder
A: Widgetminder shows reminders that are overdue and reminders that are due sometime today. Ensure your reminder in Reminders has a due date and time so your reminders will properly display. If your reminders are showing in the app, but not in your complication, you may have to wait a few minutes for the watch face complication to update. Updates to complications on the watch face are tightly controlled by Apple Watch.
Q: What if I want to see my reminders but don’t want to use a face with the rectangular complication?
A: You can always view your reminders using the Smart Stack on Apple Watch (watchOS 10 and above). To add reminders to the Smart Stack, swipe up from the bottom of your watch face or turn the Crown away from you to display the Smart Stack. Long press on the watch face and tap the “+” on the top of Apple Watch. Scroll until you see Widgetminder, tap, and select your preferred widget. Widgets in the Smart Stack can be pinned to the top if desired. Now, to see your reminders simply swipe up from your watch face or turn the Crown away from you. Simply swipe back down or turn the Crown towards you to close the Smart Stack.
Q: The “Overdue” Circular Complication shows a count of overdue reminders, what does the “ToDos” Circular complication count?
A: The Circular “ToDos” compilation shows a count of all reminders due today, including overdue reminders. This provides a quick way to see how busy your day might be.
Q: Why am I not able to delete, modify, complete, or add reminders in the Apple Watch app?
A: Current limitations with the way Apple Watch handles reminders behind the scenes limits the ability to perform these functions. In the future, a companion iPhone app will be developed which will allow these features and others to be added. For now, Widgetminder provides a compact, dense view of your current reminders.
Q: How can I get an answer to a question I have that isn’t answered here?
A: Navigate to the contact page and submit your question.
Q: What is Widgetminder and Widgetminder.com’s Privacy Policy? Does Widgetminder or Widgetminder.com collect my data?
